Human Growth and Faith Development   Led by: Dr. Cindy Kissel-Ito, Associate Professor of Christian Education and Master of Arts in Christian Education Program Director June 5- July 28, 2023 This intensive is a Christian Educator Certification Course. It will explore historical and contemporary theories of human psychological and faith development. Participants will apply these theories to teaching people of all ages in the church. Course will include four (4) synchronous class meetings on Tuesdays in June and July from 1:00-3:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) via Zoom web-conferencing, in addition to at-home online assignments.  Space will be limited and participants will need access to a computer with external or built-in microphone and web-cam, along with a sound internet connection. For more information or to start a registration, click here.   REGISTER HERE UPCOMING Workshop: Multiple Ways of Teaching and Learning Friday, May 5, 2023 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Led by: Dr. Lakisha Lockhart,  Assistant Professor of Christian Ed In this interactive workshop, participants will be introduced to and begin to utilize various teaching and learning styles to aid in teaching and learning across differences. The workshop will specifically utilize Multiple Intelligence Theory and Kolb Theory. Participants will engage in various practices and exercises to become familiar with teaching strategies and tools targeted for each learning style and intelligence, and restructure a lesson plan using those strategies and tools.
