A Christian, a Jew, and a Muslim walk into a podcast studio…

On faith and finance,

Sunday, April 21

Cheddar and church.

A new podcast launched from the Chicago studios of Interfaith America this week…  Money, Meet Meaning!  Hosts Amber Hacker and Tom Levinson bring out the remarkable and unexpected ways that our religions inform and perhaps complicate our financial lives. If you’re curious about what the Notorious B.I.G. and the Talmud have in common, this is the podcast for you. Their first episode welcomes Interfaith America CEO Eboo Patel to talk profits and prophets.

Just out from The State Of Belief – Rev. Raushenbush  talks with Skye Perryman, president and CEO of Democracy Forward. Skye offers an expert take on what the questions asked by the Supreme Court justices in the recent mifepristone oral arguments tell us about where the Court may come down on access to this drug, which is the method used for more than half the abortion in the United States today.

And on Saved By The City, buckle up for a visit from RNS Vatican correspondent Claire Giangravé. Roxy and Katelyn take their interest in women’s leadership in Protestant churches and get a picture of how that conversation is playing out in Catholic circles. Plus, a little rundown of some of the spicier popes in history.

What can our spiritual traditions teach us about money? As it turns out, a lot.
Rev. Dr. Jacqui Lewis, Senior Pastor of Middle Church in New York City, on the upcoming Democracy Rising Conference.
RNS's Vatican reporter gives us the inside scoop on the contentious conversations around women's ordination in the Catholic Church.
