3 virtual offerings to support your Lenten Journey

Ash Wednesday will be approaching soon (February 17th) which marks the entrance into the liturgical season of Lent. For Christians, this time is typically used as an opportunity by individuals and collective groups for prayer, fasting, reflection and self-examination ~ commemorating Jesus' 40 days in the wilderness.

Ghost Ranch and our Spiritual Direction Partner Stillpoint are providing for free or low cost several virtual offerings to help you enter and move through this important season.

VIRTUAL: STATIONS OF THE CROSS AND THE EARTH

Free Offering

The Stations of the Cross profoundly marks the spirituality of many Christians. Focusing on the last steps of Jesus before the crucifixion, the stations narrate the agony of the human soul under violence. Regardless of your Christian affiliation, in this workshop we will go through the stations of the cross from the perspective of the Earth.

Monday (before Ash Wednesday), February 15
through April 2 (Good Friday)
Meetings together on Mondays
Rituals on your own on Fridays

VIRTUAL: CHOOSING PRESENCE - A PRACTICE DURING LENT AND BEYOND

“Be still, and know that I am God.”--Psalm 46:10

The practice of presence reconnects us with God’s spiritual energy. The power of this personal and simple practice isn’t in what we do but what is being done to us when we stop the inner chatter and negative dialogue and experience our vibrant inner life, which is accessible to each of us, always.

Using Jim Heaney’s book and study guide – Choosing Presence: How to Access God’s Peace and Release Fear, Anxiety and Stress - we will spend the 7 Wednesdays of Lent studying, experiencing and sharing about the integration of this practice into our daily lives and its transforming effects.

This offering will be limited to 18 participants.

VIRTUAL: GROUP SPIRITUAL DIRECTION THROUGH STILLPOINT

If you’ve never participated in spiritual direction or group spiritual direction before, this was created with you in mind. This group will walk you through what to expect, answer any questions you may have and guide you in the practice itself. You will not only learn about group spiritual direction, but you will experience it. This is a great way for you to try it out before committing to a group.
