Finding nourishment at The Manna Retreat

The Manna Retreat - Back in January, we welcomed over 80 young adults to Montreat for our second installment of The Manna Retreat. This event, whose purpose is to offer 22-35 year olds a community of faith, allowed participants to engage in worship, small group sessions, and community building events over the course of three days. Below, we’ve detailed a few of our favorite aspects of the retreat. If it interests you, we hope you will consider joining us next year!
Addressing Longing - This year, retreat participants discussed and reflected on their hopes and desires for the future, specifically sharing what they were longing for in their lives. Conference leaders encouraged participants to address their longings - for community, for direction, and for clarity, among others - to God through prayer, reflection, discussion, and worship.
Engaging Workshops - Thanks to a robust leadership team, we were able to offer a wide variety of workshops during this year’s retreat. Topics included Visio Divina, art exploration, vocational discernment, developing a young adult ministry, and more! Have an idea for a future workshop? Let us know! We hope to provide additional workshop options in the future.
Connecting Young Adults - We were overjoyed that The Manna Retreat continued to be a place for young adults to reconnect with old friends and forge new relationships, alike. Like so many Montreat conferences, small group sessions and evening events played a huge role in fostering a feeling of community during the retreat. Many participants reflected that these opportunities allowed them to talk through various challenges they were facing while finding support from those who shared similar life experiences.
Be sure to join us next year! Our third installment of The Manna Retreat will take place January 24-26, 2025. Use the link below to sign up for email alerts once more information becomes available!
