Looking back at April's Discovering Renewal retreat at Montreat

What happened at Discovering Renewal last month? - Immediately following the busy Lenten and Easter season, over 50 people gathered in Montreat for the third installment of our popular Sabbath-seeking retreat, Discovering Renewal. Over the course of three days, participants engaged in a variety of activity tracks and found time for reflection, study, and rest. Curious what it was like to attend? Below, we’ve highlighted a few of our favorite moments.
*We used God’s creation as inspiration for our creative endeavors. *Thanks to a new optional Sabbath day, participants were able to arrive early and get settled. *We visited breweries, played games together, and sang songs by the campfire. * We found the courage to try new things supported and encouraged by others. *We dipped our toes in some chilly water. (But Brian McLaren still managed to catch a massive trout!) *We stretched our spiritual and physical muscles! *Adventurers explored whole new worlds in our new track that focused on tabletop role playing games. *We caught up with old friends and made plenty of new ones!
