Worship & Music Conference is for Youth, Too!

When people think about Worship & Music Conference, they often picture handbells, adult choirs, and organ recitals. And while those elements are certainly an important part of the experience, there’s another part of the conference that also deserves some attention: the youth programming. Children and youth who have completed third through twelfth grade are eligible to sign up for a variety of offerings during the conference developed specifically with their age and experience in mind. When they attend, they are considered full, active participants and join the entire community in learning new skills, sharing their talents, and making new friends…

“Come to the Mountains”

Save the date! Over October 5–8, 2026, Montreat Conference Center will partner with the Presbyterian Youth Workers Association to offer "Come to the Mountains," a special retreat for church professionals working with youth. Leadership will include Kenda Creasy Dean and Neema Cyrus-Franklin. Be on the lookout for more information coming soon!

Through worship, small groups, and recreation, middle school students will explore identity, purpose, and faith in a welcoming, fun-filled environment designed to deepen their connections with God, others, and themselves. Honk if You Love Montreat!

Pictured above, "Montreat Wavers" is a time-honored PreClubs tradition in which some of our youngest Montreaters make signs and encourage drivers passing by Welch Field to honk as a way of community involvement. If you have a child between the ages of 5 and 18, they can participate in this or similar activities as part of our Clubs and PreClubs programs. Registration is currently open!
