Theology Matters - Come and Meet Brad Longfield

Meet our Conference Speaker: Brad Longfield

We're hosting a conference on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, on March 7–9! We would be delighted if you could come and meet Bradley J. Longfield, one of our conference speakers.

Brad is Professor of Church History at the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary, where he served for eighteen years as Vice President of the University and Dean of the Seminary.

He is author of The Presbyterian Controversy: Fundamentalists, Modernists, and Moderates and Presbyterians and American Culture: A History and dozens of articles, both academic and popular. He is currently working on a history of theological friendship during the Great Awakening.

He earned a B.A. from Wesleyan University, a M.Div. from Yale University Divinity School, and a Ph.D. from Duke University where his dissertation advisor was George Marsden. He is a minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), served as a pastor in Indiana, and taught at Duke Divinity School before his call to Dubuque.

Of course, he would never say so, but many of his friends and colleagues think Brad probably knows more about Presbyterian history than anyone in America. And since those who know the past are often the most help to us in understanding the present and preparing for the future, we believe Brad will be a blessing to you.

So please come and meet Brad and other speakers who we think will bless your heart, mind, and soul.

Our theme is: "Spirituality Old & New: Testing the Spirits Today, Yesterday, and Tomorrow."

Please join us and register online today: Theology Conference 2023

Come and reflect on the faith, relax with friends, and rekindle the flame!

There are still great hotel rates on beautiful beachfront. While they last!
