Adult Involvement at Youth and Young Adult Events

This month, Montreat Conference Center is taking time to highlight upcoming events for those between the ages of 11 and 32. This might cause you to wonder, “where do I fit into all of this?” While adults are not the primary audience for events like Montreat Youth Conference and Middle School Conference, they still play a vital role in their success. Each year, over 100 adults volunteer as Small Group Leaders, another 16 serve on event Planning Teams, and dozens more attend conferences alongside youth, serving as guides and chaperones for those in attendance. Through these various avenues, we’ve found that when adults get involved with a youth event, they are able to enrich their personal faith, build relationships with youth in their congregations, and support the future of the Church. The Manna Retreat

January 23–25, 2026

The Manna Retreat will meet for the fourth time in January, offering nourishment and support for young adults in their “defining decade.” Wondering if you count as a young adult? This event generally welcomes those between the ages of 22 and 32.

Worship & Music Conference

June 21–26, 2026 and June 28–July 3, 2026

Worship & Music Conference isn’t just for adults! This intergenerational conference also features programming for elementary, middle, and high school students. Reservations can be made now for conference center housing. Conference registration opens on December 8, 2025.

Small Group Leaders, Big Impact

Each year, over one hundred volunteers help us to facilitate important, pivotal conversations during Small Groups at MYC and MSC. While our Small Group Leaders work hard, the work they do is extremely rewarding. Plus, they get a few special perks as Montreat covers all housing, meals, and travel expenses for SGLs.
