It’s here, the moment you’ve been waiting for… It’s finally time to announce the conference themes for Montreat Youth Conference and Middle School Conference! As our flagship events for youth, the yearly themes for these conferences are often highly anticipated. That makes us really excited to share them!

But before we get started, a little background. Contrary to popular belief, Montreat Conference Center staff don’t pick the themes for Montreat Youth Conference or Middle School Conference. Instead, theme selection is driven exclusively by members of the Planning Teams for each conference — and it isn’t something they take lightly…

Apply for Planning Team

We have extended the deadline to apply for our 2027 Montreat Youth Conference and Middle School Conference Planning Teams! Applications are now due this Friday, October 17, 2026. If you would like to help shape future conferences, this is a perfect opportunity to let your voice be heard. Both youth and adults are invited to apply on our website.

Virtual Office Hours

In conjunction with Youth & Young Adult Takeover, our Director of Church Relations Susie Burns will host “virtual office hours” - a time where she addresses common questions about Montreat Youth Conference, providing answers to questions about registration, housing, and more. Register for College Conference @ Montreat

Our annual event for college-aged young adults will return January 2-5, 2026. During the event, we will explore the theme “Strains of Joy” by considering what finding joy has to do with being a person of faith. On Mondays we wear Montreat! During the month of October, we would like you to join us in wearing your favorite Montreat merch each Monday! Post a picture on social media and tag Montreat for a repost.
