VoteVets - No more military bases named after Confederate generals

Attacks On Prevailing Wage Laws Disproportionally Hurt Veterans ...
Today, Secretary of Defense Mark Esper announced that the Confederate flag will be banned from military bases. That’s progress — and it’s because people like us stepped up and kept this issue on in the spotlight, demanding accountability from our leaders.
But it’s not enough. Banning the Confederate flag is an empty gesture if we still allow our military bases to bear the names of Confederate generals — traitors to our country who turned their back on America in pursuit of racism and oppression of Black people.
This isn't hard. If the Confederate flag is a divisive symbol, then so are the names of the racist traitors who killed Americans to preserve slavery and who serve no purpose today but to encourage white supremacists and perpetuate racism.
Thanks for helping us stay on this issue. We’ve made a lot of progress with your help. Let’s keep it up.
