This week, a group calling itself "America's Frontline Doctors" took to the steps of the U.S. Supreme Court to address a "massive disinformation campaign" regarding COVID-19.
Saying they represented “hundreds and thousands of doctors,” the group claimed the American public was being misled about the health effects of the coronavirus and lauded unproven treatments for it, including the use of hydroxychloroquine as a cure. Videos of the event quickly went viral before being pulled from social media platforms.
Who are these individuals? Where did they come from? And what is the veracity of their claims?
Snopes Reporter Madison Dapcevich has the details.
