Did Kamala Harris Have an Affair That Boosted Her Career?

When Kamala Harris made history earlier this week as the first woman of color selected as vice president on a major party ticket, the internet lit up with claim after claim about the senator’s past. 
In particular, several articles and memes circulated on social media claiming that Harris had an extramarital affair with former San Francisco Mayor and State Assembly Speaker Willie Brown, who gave her two political appointments that allegedly launched her political career.
