Mental Health First Aid Training


Sept. 25 and Oct. 9, 2020, 9:00-11:00 a.m.


Oct. 1 2020, probably all day TBD

 

This program will provide participants with the tools they need to provide spiritual care to those affected by mental illness more effectively and reduce the stigma associated with it in their faith communities. Participants will also become certified in Mental Health First Aid and create a

regional resource to aid appropriate referrals to services.

Session 1: Learn how to distinguish spiritual care from mental health services and where your skill sets and responsibilities lie as a faith community leader;

Session 2: Become certified in Mental Health First Aid (two sessions, times TBD); and

Session 3: Collaborate on creating a mental health resource list and design a church-based

initiative to address mental illness in your community.

This series is limited to 20 participants. Sign up early!

Free and open to all pastoral leaders in the Upper Ohio Valley region.
