Medical Missions Live - The Challenges of Outreach in the Middle East

Dear Ministry Partner,

On Tuesday night, October 20th, our guest is a world-renowned infectious disease physician and a leader of a growing medical ministry focused on the Middle East.

Dr. Issam Raad is considered one of the leading experts in healthcare-related infections and infections in cancer worldwide. Dr. Raad is a distinguished Professor of Medicine and the Chairman of the Department of Infectious Diseases for the internationally recognized MD Anderson Cancer Center; MD Anderson is the largest and number one ranked cancer center in the US.

Dr. Raad has been widely honored for creative research, compassionate patient care and outstanding teaching and mentorship with more than 25 prestigious national & international awards. He has published over 400 scientific articles in high impact peer-reviewed journals and over 35 book chapters. He also holds more than 73 issued patents and 17 pending patents, most of which are already applied to patient care.

In 1989, Dr. Raad and a few other physicians met during a conference in Washington, D.C. They founded Health Outreach to the Middle East (HOME), a Christian, interdenominational organization that offers physical and spiritual healing to people in need in the Middle East. Dr. Raad, serving as the President, has led HOME with a lasting commitment to sharing the healing grace of Christ and bringing the Good News to every Arab around the world. HOME trains medical professionals and serves patients through medical facilities and mobile clinics across Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Mauritania, South Sudan, Syria and Yemen.

Dr. Raad will share his perspectives on the current state of medical ministry and outreach in Middle Eastern countries and his view of the critical challenges for medical missions that lie ahead.

This is a discussion you do not want to miss. Join us on Tuesday night, October 20, 2020, at 8 pm eastern / 7 pm central.
