What Did Trump Say About Disinfectants?

U.S. President Donald Trump was at the center of another coronavirus controversy this past week after uttering statements that appeared to suggest that injecting or ingesting disinfectants could treat COVID-19.
Trump supporters insisted his words were taken out of context, but medical experts and manufacturers of household disinfectants such as Lysol responded immediately with statements saying such products should never be “administered into the human body.”
