Did the Woman Behind Aunt Jemima Die a Millionaire?

Quaker Oats' announcement that it will re-brand its "Aunt Jemima" line of breakfast products because the name and imagery are based on racial stereotypes sparked both controversy and a bit of historical revisionism on the part of those who object to the change.
A widely shared meme attempted to rewrite the life story of Nancy Green, a former slave whose likeness was used in the brand's early packaging. The meme portrays Green, whose primary employment was as a domestic servant, as "one of America's first black millionaires" thanks to her association with Aunt Jemima.
Snopes.com's Dan Evon reports that the story appears to be made up out of whole cloth.
