The Latest Fake Tweet

Social media has been abuzz with rumors of a tweet that was supposedly posted, then deleted by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York. Users have been sharing an image that appears to show Ocasio-Cortez advocating for keeping businesses closed until after the 2020 presidential election in order to harm President Donald Trump’s reelection campaign. The tweet has supposedly been shared over 20,000 times.
The kicker? The tweet is fake.
